As a Manager of US Ag Solutions Supply Chain, you will successfully lead a team of managers and individual contributors focused on optimizing demand management, supply planning, inventory management, digital transformation, and customer service for the US Ag Solutions North American business. In this role, the Manager will work directly with the regional US Ag BU functions of marketing, sales, and controlling, as well as Global Marketing, AI, FFP manufacturing, supply chain excellence, quality, and stewardship.You will set the strategic functional direction for the team and provide vision and leadership on how to best leverage operational supply chain processes and systems, including AI and customer experience, to effectively support rapidly changing customer and business requirements.

- Leading the Supply Chain Planning team and activities for US Ag Solutions over a three-year scope, including global negotiations for regional active ingredient supply and prioritization, inventory optimization, and supply planning strategies.
- Developing skills and competencies within the organization, coaching and mentoring team members to reach their full potential while fostering a high-performance culture and an inclusive environment.
- Working through direct reports to effectively guide the team in achieving stated goals and objectives.
- Developing and executing the Supply Chain strategy based on the US Crop BU strategy and in consultation with Digital, Logistics, Marketing, Manufacturing, Sales, Controlling, Global Supply Chain, Global Marketing, and Procurement.
- Identifying and analyzing potential supply risks and developing mitigation measures across global and regional supply strategies while balancing conflicting targets such as inventory versus idle cost and customer versus business needs.
- Driving a continuous improvement culture within the team, including digital transformation, while exchanging best practice experiences with other Supply Chain managers and business units, and leveraging external partners.
If you...
- Have a BS degree in Supply Chain, Marketing, Business, or related disciplines; MBA/MS degree preferred.
- Bring over 13 years of experience in supply chain topics, including a minimum of 10 years in a supervisory role.
- Possess a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify problems and opportunities, and define and implement improvements and solutions autonomously, including using AI to unlock cost savings and service enhancements.
- Understand technology and AI opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and/or customer experience through supply chain and data science integration.
- Are capable of leading projects and presenting ideas and recommendations to management.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills involving conflict resolution, customer messaging, and negotiation skills, including BASF representation to external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, etc.).
- Have a strong track record in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams, coaching and developing team members to reach their full potential, including developing managers.
- Understand supply chain analytics and opportunities to use new technology to drive supply chain efficiencies.
