What you will do in this role
The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for optimizing the delivery of products for both the Ag & EcoCore Divisions of Atticus. The role involves interacting with commercial leads to capture both long and short-term demand needs as well as working with the operations team to determine ability to supply based on the demand. The Demand Planning Analyst will report to the Portfolio Manager.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and facilitate the day-to-day forecasting process, inclusive of changes and shifts, in conjunction with the business unit leads for the assigned product portfolio
- Provide demand information from history, business unit lead input, and market intel to facilitate development of an annual sales forecast model to the portfolio manager
- Responsible for scheduling monthly pre-sales & operations planning meeting and follow-up for assigned products. Includes pre-meetings with commercial counterparts, running/revising planning reports, manages the completion of follow-up from meeting action items and publishing updated pre-S&OP reports to key stakeholders
- Support in-season changes in demand, so material is supplied while managing working capital and financial requirements
- Develop routine and ad-hoc demand related reports for visibility and decision-making
- Participate in development and tracking of KPIs related to forecast accuracy and inventory turns
- Provide monthly variance analysis to identify areas of concern and monitor processes
- Build reporting tools for operating groups and departments
- Partner effectively with business stakeholders and subject matter experts in a collaborative manner, building constructive and effective relationships
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business, supply chain management, or a related field required, advanced degree a plus
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in supply chain with a proven track record
- Highly Computer literate in Microsoft Office products; excellent analytical skills, proficient with Microsoft Excel and data manipulation
- Experience with computerized ERP/MRP systems; knowledge of key system functions related to demand planning, master scheduling and inventory management a plus, Microsoft D365 is a plus.
- Understands basic financial terms and how to model decisions financially
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proactive communication skills
- Ability to work effectively across diverse and cross-functional teams, under critical timelines, while balancing the needs of internal customers
- Excellent organization, planning, project management, time management and prioritization skills
- Possesses independent initiative – strives to go beyond the basic needs
- Capable of problem solving with complex inputs/outputs
