Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Account Manager with a scientific background, ideally working within a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). This role will support client relationships, manage project communications, and contribute to the growth and retention of accounts. The ideal candidate combines technical understanding with strong communication and organizational skills, enabling effective collaboration between clients and internal business, manufacturing, and project coordination teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as point of contact for clients handling day-to-day communications and inquiries, as well as supporting Asymchem’s BD and technical teams.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations
  • Initiate and coordinate contract negotiations between clients and Asymchem’s legal team
  • Generate RFPs internally for quotation and prepare proposals for submission to client
  • Monitor account performance, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed to BD/technical teams
  • Independently retain and nurture client relationships, to bring in additional opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and prepare regular account reports for management
  • Attend scheduled client and internal meetings
  • Create presentations to support technical/business discussions, on-site client meetings, and conferences

Experience Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities(KSAs)

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field)
  • 5+ years of experience working in the life sciences sector such as a CDMO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Willingness to participate in calls with internal/external partners across various time zones (including early morning or late evening)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Some travel (domestic and international) as needed to support on-site client meetings and conferences
  • Knowledge of ICH Q7 and M7 regulations as well as cGMP controls in drug substance and/or drug product
  • Chinese Mandarin language ability is a plus, but not required
