Altis Biosystems provides human derived cell based pre-clinical “new approach methodology” (NAMs) testing services and products for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets. The core technology, RepliGut, is a biological mimetic of the human intestine – that can be used for compound screening, disease modeling, and microbiome research. The platform can be used to study many aspects of drug disposition including toxicity, metabolism, drug absorption, and efficacy. Our customers consist primarily of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies looking for non-animal gastrointestinal-based pre-clinical drug screening platforms that replicate the human body’s native biology. Altis’ RepliGut products are sold into many major pharmaceutical drug discovery programs and our services business is rapidly growing to meet new and existing market demand from metabolism, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, and inflammatory bowel disease markets
