About Us
Altaecore is a dynamic startup developing industrial-scale technology for the production of anti-microbial peptides for the biomanufacturing and cosmetics markets. We are a pre-seed company actively raising capital to drive our commercialization and technology development efforts.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an energetic entrepreneurial leader to build a working relationship with leaders in one or more of these market segments and spearhead our commercial and business development efforts. The prospect will be our founding Business Development professional and a commercial representative for the company, responsible for prospecting and lead generation, closing deals, and nurturing long-term partnerships.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to help us build a fast-growing company. You'll have direct influence on our company's success and will be a key member of our leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to penetrate the skin care and/or biomanufacturing markets.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target companies, including R&D, and product development teams.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and refine our product-market fit.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent Altaecore at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and expand our network.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our R&D team to provide market feedback and ensure our products meet the needs of our customers.
Compensation
This is a commission-plus-equity role. Your compensation will be directly tied to your sales and closed deals performance, and a significant ownership stake in the company. We are looking for a partner in our success, not just an employee.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of sales or 5 years of successful business development experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
- A strong network of contacts within the skin care and biomanufacturing markets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Preferred:
- Experience with ingredient, raw material, or technical solutions for the cosmetics, personal care, or life sciences industries.
- Understanding of the product development lifecycle within the cosmetics, personal care, or life sciences industries.
