Job Summary

The Warehouse Courier Driver will support internal transportation needs, coordinating deliveries among multiple locations and mapping out the most efficient route. In addition, transport activities may occur between Alcami sites. This position is challenged with a daily routine that changes based on customer demand and generally takes place in a fast-paced work environment. When not driving, the Warehouse Support Driver will assist with a wide range of tasks including but not limited to support of materials control, receiving manufacturing items, assisting in kitting batchas as well as assisting with outgoing shipments as needed, assisting with external deliveries and orders, restocking supplies, etc.

On-Site Expectations

  • 100% on-site position.
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high value products from a dedicated client site and within Alcami sites.
  • Handle products appropriately and enter information electronically into applicable systems, as required.
  • Assist in receipt of received samples, generate individual material identification numbers and initiates chain-of-custody tracking.
  • Provide professional customer service and communication with clients.
  • Coordinate deliveries with multiple departments, as needed.
  • Develop efficient routes for pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Ensure accurate, timely deliveries.
  • Load and unload packages considering safety and care at all times.
  • Ensure customer products arrive in the same condition it left.
  • Bring and obtain the required paperwork.
  • Operate temperature monitoring devices.
  • Maintain clean vehicle(s) and workspaces.
  • Complete required travel record logs.
  • Inspect vehicles and reports necessary maintenance or repairs.
  • Obey speed limits and road signs/rules.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) to complete documentation.
  • Report questionable issues to management for evaluation and determination.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED equivalent.
  • +2 years of experience driving a company truck or large vehicle.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • DOT Training.
  • GMP experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Basic knowledge of GMPs or GLPs is preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and interact with internal staff and external clients as needed.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Works well in a team setting.

  • Local travel required.

The following are the visual requirements – close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will frequently be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and vibrations, occasionally work in an office or lab environment and be exposed to wet or humid conditions, and work near moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. This position works with moderate noise levels.
